When's The Best Time?
Our season begins at ice out which is usually the first of April. Large catches of brown trout (5 lbs. to 20 lbs.), steelheads (5 lbs. to 20 lbs.), lake trout (5 lbs. to 15 lbs.), and an occasional salmon (up to 40 lbs.) are taken through the summer.
Late July through September brings large schools of giant salmon to the mouth of the rivers for their spawning runs. After the salmon runs, around mid-October, we go back to trout fishing.
Some of the best steelhead fishing is during November. Limit catches are common during peak periods.
